It's not just the laughs that I liked about this book, it was also the confusions and obstacles that a new college student goes through. We tend to forget that as a college freshman or even a high school freshman, we enter a new world. But that new world is full of laughs and obstacles. The question is how is it balanced? This book was a s*** show and made me bust out laughing in a bunch of parts. I question if this is, in fact, "fiction" though. Real or not, the stories were a good read.
OMG!
I've been a professional party boy. [ See my own memoir [...] ] And I used to hang with a bunch of friends who where "whorey." But I was never as out of control as Dick in this novel. I'm totally Mary to anyone's Rhoda. With "Stiff" I never quite got over being shocked at this character's voracious sex appetite. I still blush 50 Shades of Red when I think about how Dick was all about "dick."
I couldn't put the book down. Funny. Sad...? Not so much. But I think there was a lot of "honesty," shall I say, about this book?
