22 Christian Mandala Original Art Designs to Color Christian Art This is a Christian coloring book. It contains Christian themes created with detailed Christian Symbolism. You will notice a range of styles. Some pages are traditional stained glass window structures found in Christian Churches and Universities. In other pages, the designs become Escher-like. Other pages move further into abstraction. In each case, I have attached relevant passages from Scripture to reflect upon as you color. Original Art The pages are original art. In a few cases I have borrowed from Church and University stained glass windows that are close to my heart. In these cases I have altered and enhanced the original windows to read well in the line art format. Art to make your own I believe that coloring is an art form. The intent of this book is to enable coloring at a very high level. If time and thought is given to the pages the results will be new art of your own creation. The Artist The designs in this book were created by award winning Christian Artist Kerry Pierce.

Single sided pages, this series of Christian mandalas are lovely foci for meditations on relevant scripture although 4 of the 21 are not tied to specific scripture but are general principles. Lovely Christian mandalas based on Scripture. There is a variety to the mandalas as to the amount of detail each contain. Some I found were not challenging enough for me but that has nothing to do with the design work nor refection on the artist. Nice collection to color while meditating on the Sacred Scriptures. I am using good quality colored pencils but am sure, like most coloring books, markers would bleed through the paper. I highly recommend this book for both beginner and advanced colorists.

I bought this for operation Christmas Child and I should have looked at it a little better before I bought it. Some of the mandalas seem a little depressing and I'm not sure if I will use it or not. Unfortunately, now I do not have time to order a different Christian coloring book for this age girl. Live and learn.
Was hoping for very intricate designs. These are a little too easy for me, and the subject of each Mandela seemed, well, a little too "catholic" for me. No disrespect - just not much of the Protestant Jesus shown. Also, the back pages have made-up Mandela that don't really seem to suit the topic.
